Maytag washer - pump?

Does anyone have any information on how to replace a pump on a Maytag washing machine (model SAV4655EWW). This is the second time in a year (machine's only 2.5 years old) that I have to replace the pump and I refuse to call the lonely repair guy again - he can't come out for a week anyway (not so lonely is he - busy replacing Maytag pumps probably) Any help would be appreciated.Maytag washer - pump?
I believe the model you are referring to has a removable panel in the front, 2 hex head screws remove the panel. The pump should be on the bottom of the motor. Not hardly as easy to change as a light bulb but can be done by do-it -your-selfer with some mechanical skills. Have to remove three screws from pump from bottom (which is the hard part) and pull off motor. Reverse procedure to install new pump. Make sure pump isn't clogged before replacing or other similar problem.Maytag washer - pump?
Its almost as easy as replacing a light bulb. You ll need to access the part of the washer were the pump is,usually at the bottom, remove belt, unclamp the hoses to the pump, remove the screws holding the pump and remove pump, installation is the reverse and voila! Second time huh? Sometimes they get clogged with to much lint or pet hair so that's why they stop working! Well maybe not as easy as replacing a light bulb but its not hard at all!
Before attempting a repair make sure you turn off the power The pump will have two electrical connections, check that are still connected, they have been known to vibrate off.
