Mildew? Run a cycle with no clothes, just extra hot water and a cup of chlorine bleach. When the cycle is complete, leave the washer open until the next time you use it.

well idk how to get the smell out...i think that other guy has a good suggestion about a cycle without clothes...just use bleach/ but a front loader is a washer with a door in the spot of a dryer....if u ever saw ';Stuart Little'; with the mouse..the washer he almost drowns in is a front loader.

It pretty needs a good old cleaning. You can use dish soap with a sponge to wipe it down. You can also use some 409 spray to disinfect. Last you should run it dry with some bleach or Use a detergent that has a nice scent.
A front loader is a wash machine that where the door is in the middle and uses less water and spins at fast speed.
Top loader wash machine is where the door is at the top. They require more water and have an agitator to spin the machine.
