My iPod nano 3rd gen. went through the washer...how long do i let it dry out?

It's down to a few things, really. How long it was in the washer, how hot the wash was, how thick (and waterproof) the case was and quite a bit of luck.

It's usually a good bet to take it apart as much as you can, and let everything dry separately, as this makes it most likely that it'll survive. I'd leave it for about a week, though sometimes even longer is better.

If any of the circuits have shorted though, it might not work even when it is dry.

Hope it works! My iPod nano 3rd gen. went through the washer...how long do i let it dry out?
I just did the same thing to my I pod nano 3rd generation, just yesturday, completely through the wash and dryer. This is the key, let it dry in a dry warm place for a few days, with all luck it will work. The reason behind this is because technically the i pod is always on unless it is left idle for more than about 48 hours, this is because the clock keeps running. If you notice your i pod start up with the apple logo ever it is because it has been left off long enough to completely turn off and is now restarting. Because it is such a small decieve it is lucky to use 5 volts max and that is not near enough to fry it with water, furthermore i pods are built to take a little bit of distress and most likely the main boards are sealed and protected. If you can't get it to work by the button try plugging it into the computer that is what i did. Unfournatly your screen may never be the same and show signs of being wet or a little blury but it should work just fine! the only thing different you will notice is that the clock will have been reset.
omg! my friend did the same thing to her ipod!! so she left it on her heater for a week then it worked!! but the screens a bit funny, you have to look at it from a certain angle :P

just make sure you dry it out and it might just survive
4 about 15 mins
