Older top-loading Maytag washer needs repairs?

Our Maytag washer drips water into the tub all the time. Any ideas of how we can fix it ourselves. When we turn the water off at the wall the dripping stopsOlder top-loading Maytag washer needs repairs?

its a simple fix, go to an appliance parts store, [with the make Model# of the washer get a new water shut off valve, or a maytag dealer


remove the hoses unplug it, pull it out if there's back cover remove it,


the water valves are close to the top, remove noting the wire placements, replace ,
